Lestard Calhoun, scoundrel, villain, visionary. Yeah, again oÔ I’ve drawn him several times lately, until one of my study colleagues exclaimed: »Woah, you’re absolutely possessed!« And she’s definitely not right about that. Well, perhaps she is. But only a little <.< Anything to say? I love that sort of light. This is not the first painting I’m playing around with it. I like the reflection effect it has on the picture. Then – I truly managed to give him … these eyes. THESE eyes. No matter where you stand to look at the picture, he seems to look back at you. Thanks to for the magical »33«, for her tips and for the »massive mental assistance« – especially with the hand lying on the walking stick. Really, I was quite fast about its outlines, but the colouring took me ages. And … metal. I don’t like drawing it. You could almost say I hate it – almost. For the armchair and the stick I used candelabras for reference. And the Silver Surfer. Also, I’ve noticed that I can draw a figure much easier if I can test its pose myself before actually drawing. For Lestard – as I unfortunately have no armchair – I prepared my sofa with several pillows and cushions and even sat like this in a seat of a train heading to FH Muenster. The other passengers did have something to gaze at. Seriously.

Villains are the best! I love how his hand seems to be resting on the cane lightly-- I can imagine him toying with it restlessly. And you are right to be proud of the eyes. Very haunting!
